Capital Equipment
The Capital Equipment Program was established
to assist Alameda County Medical Center with its equipment
needs both for the physicians and nurses. The equipment requests
are recommendations from the medical staff and approved by
the Board of Directors. Priorities are established during
the county budget process for equipment needs. The Board of
Directors reviews the budget requests and makes its approval
on the established unfunded priorities.
Since January of 1999 the Foundation has
concentrated on raising funding for critically needed equipment
for the new Critical Care and Clinics Building opening in
May 2004 on the Highland Campus of the Medical Center.
