Grants Development Officer/Grantwriter

The Foundation

The Alameda County Health Care Foundation (ACHCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to raise funds and generate community support for the Alameda County Medical Center (ACMC). Headquartered in Oakland, California, ACMC is one of the major hospital systems in the Bay Area, with 475 licensed beds on three campuses: 236 at Highland Hospital, 159 at Fairmont Hospital, and 80 at John George Psychiatric Pavilion. ACMC also serves Alameda County with three freestanding ambulatory care centers in addition to outpatient clinics at Highland Hospital. In addition, ACMC is a teaching facility affiliated with the University of California, and is the designated Trauma Center for Northern Alameda County. Working in and for ACMC, the Foundation currently has a diverse staff of 3.5 FTE and a 15-member Board of Directors, with current assets of approximately $2 million.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director, and following standard procedures, the Grants Development Officer/Grantwriter is responsible for supporting the development and acquisition of grants for the program priorities and capital needs of Alameda County Medical Center. This is a part-time position (18-24 hrs/week.)
