Annual Golf Tournament
Don’t
miss the opportunity to participate in the upcoming
Alameda County Health Care Foundation 10th Anniversary
Golf Tournament honoring Ken Maiolini on Friday,
October 14, 2005, at the Metropolitan Golf Links
in Oakland. Registration starts at noon and tee
off begins at 1:30 PM.
Register and pay by September 26th to receive 10%
off the regular rates. Registration includes the
cost of dinner and the awards banquet immediately
following play. Individual players are $180 and
tee sponsors are $300. Fun contests are planned
- Guess your distance; closest to the hole; and
the ever-popular putting contest. The raffle is
a big draw, with players receiving the number of
raffle tickets equaling their height for $20.
The event committee this year is composed of Bruce
Bauer, Chair; Ken Maiolini, Honorary Chair; Art
Martinez; Peter Slabaugh, MD; Clyde Thompson; and
Domenic Torchia. The Foundation is honoring Ken
Maiolini of Risk Management Service, Inc., for his
generosity in initiating and running the golf tournament
for the last nine years. We are still looking for
corporate sponsors, tee sponsors, players and raffle

Model
Neighborhood Program Thanks ACMC Departments
The
Model Neighborhood Program wishes to thank the following
departments at Highland Hospital for their dedication,
support and outstanding mentorship of the Model
Neighborhood Program students: Adult Immunology
Clinic, Cardiology, Central Supply, Maternal and
Child Health, Laboratory, General Medicine, Morgue,
Radiology, Respiratory, Specialty Clinics, and Women's
Urgent Care.
In addition, The Model Neighborhood Program recognizes
Cancer Navigator, Dental, Trauma, Vascular Lab,
and Pharmacy for delivering outstanding guest presentations
to students during the past school year.
The Model Neighborhood Program also thanks the
Eastmont Wellness Center. All of the departments
at Eastmont are vital to the students' experiences.

Medical Records, Optometry, Pediatrics, and Radiology.
