The Annual Giving Program is the foundation of our fundraising. It takes place throughout the year on a regular and repeated basis. It may be comprised of direct mail appeals, employee campaigns, grant proposals, and events. Our goals for our Annual Giving Program are to build a donor base that can be cultivated and developed to support all fundraising efforts. We want to develop and motivate donors who will, on an annual basis, provide gifts to support the Medical Center. We want to create awareness and acceptance among our community, and to validate our mission on an ongoing basis. We would very much like for the community to join us in working for healthcare for the entire community. We hope to develop an understanding volunteer organization from the community to work with us.

The Annual Fund is composed of two major events, a year-end appeal, and other direct mail campaigns.

Fundraising Events

More than any other kind of activity, events raise money and raise awareness about the Medical Center. We have two long-standing events that are a lot of fun and additionally raise the needed money to support ACMC programs.

Annual Gala

In June we have our Annual Gala which is a dress-up event held in a great location with special dinner and beverages, silent and live auctions, and dancing with a live band. During this event, we honor our philanthropist of the year. Many corporations join us to sponsor this event, showing their commitment to the people of Alameda County. This is our most festive event of the year! This year's 19th Annual Gala will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009.

Annual Golf Tournament

On Monday, September 28, 2009, our 14th Annual Golf Classic will take place at the Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland. Physicians, Board Members, ACMC senior management, sponsors, and the general public will join us for a very fun day. There will be a reception and dinner with prizes and a raffle.
