ANSWERING THE CALL FOR LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT

What happens when major diagnostic equipment is no longer state-of-the-art? Due to the nature and complexity of the medical cases seen at Highland Hospital, it is essential that the latest, most up-to-date equipment be available. Some of the most critical situations require transfers to other area hospitals as far away as San Francisco. The acquisition of a state-of-the-art Angiography Suite is one of the highest priorities for ACMC. Angiography is an imaging method that allows doctors to view veins, arteries, and other tissues that cannot be seen through other imaging such as MRI and x-ray.

We need you to join these community leaders in answering the call! Each year thousands of individuals in Alameda County are affected by illnesses, chronic conditions, or injuries that have a major impact on their lives. The Alameda County Medical Center (ACMC) is committed to addressing these medical conditions in our community by providing the highest quality of care possible—regardless of their ability to pay—and have doing so for 130 years!

The Alameda County Health Care Foundation is conducting the Angiography Suite Acquisition Campaign to raise the $2,664,000 needed to acquire a state-of-the art Angiography Suite. We have received a $1 million commitment from a major local foundation—contingent on raising the remaining funds. To date $2,200,000 has been raised and we need to raise $464,000 more. Our Community Phase Campaign seeks to involve the ACMC medical community and alumni, community leadership, faith-based community, civic and social organizations, businesses and corporations, and foundations.

Your gift in support of a new state-of-the art Angiography Suite will:

• Provide Alameda County residents the highest level of care possible
• Reduce diagnosis and treatment wait time—providing better health outcomes
• Improve diagnostic and treatment capabilities throughout the hospital through accurate imaging quicker diagnosis and treatment in trauma situations
