The Alameda Health System Foundation (AHSF) raises funds in support of the Alameda Health System’s programs and services of greatest need. Alameda Health System (AHS) has been an integral health care provider in the East Bay for nearly 150 years. Since starting in 1864, AHS has expanded its facilities to include Highland Hospital, Fairmont Hospital, John George Psychiatric Hospital, and three community clinics.

Education and training are integral parts of AHS, from their mission statement to their hospital floors and clinics, classrooms, and exam rooms. This year’s event will spotlight AHS as a highly regarded, world-class teaching facility in the East Bay area. Alameda Health System’s Highland Hospital is a nationally recognized teaching hospital and has been training outstanding physicians since it opened in 1927. Highland Hospital is also the designated Trauma Center for northern Alameda County and the “safety net” for uninsured residents in need of care.

Popular evening highlights will include a live and silent auction, seated dinner for 350 guests, dancing, and honoring health care heroes in our community, as well as hearing from a patient treated in Highland Hospital’s Trauma Center.

Participation in the 23rd Annual Gala will help AHSF continue to fund the programs and services of greatest need at the Alameda Health System.
