About Alameda County Health Care Foundation...
Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has raised $20 million in support of this mission. It has completed two major capital campaigns. The first, completed in 2004, was to fund furnishings and equipment for the Koret Foundation Critical Care and Clinical Center. The second was completed at the end of 2010 and raised $2.67 million for a combined cardiac catheterization laboratory and angiography suite, which is housed in the Medical Center's just-opened Interventional Services Department, widely considered to be among the best in Northern California. The Foundation also supports an array of disease management and health promotion programs including ones focused on chronic conditions such as diabetes, an award-winning Cancer Navigator Program and a Youth Violence Prevention Program, which is viewed as a model for similar programs throughout the country. |
