With funding provided by the State, County and the Medical Center, basic construction costs for the new building have been secured however, the limited budget did not include new equipment for the new facility.

With a goal of $5 million dollars, the Foundation raised a total of $5.2 million for the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment and furnishings for the new Koret Foundation Critical Care and Clinical Center, which opened in May 2004.
