The Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal is our
major direct mail campaigns of the year. It
happens in November and tries to make connections
for the prospective donor and the Medical
Center. Many of the citizens of Alameda County
do not realize that in case of a traumatic
accident anywhere in the Northern Alameda
County area, they will be brought to Alameda
County Medical Center. We are the designated
trauma center and have staff in the hospital
24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is
not only the only trauma center you will be
brought to, it is the only one you would want
to be brought to. The Medical Center is a
tremendous resource for everyone in the County.
A great deal of our purpose with the Annual
Appeal is educational for the citizens.
In early 2004, the Medical
Center opened the new Koret Foundation Critical
Care and Clinics Building housing the trauma
center, emergency medicine department, clinics,
pharmacy, etc. This new beautiful building
has finally brought state-of-the-art equipment
to our already state-of-the-art staff.
