| “A gift
creates a lasting legacy for those we honor, for those we
would remember.”

Alameda County Health Care Foundation (ACHCF)
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of
generating community awareness and securing financial support
for Alameda County Medical Center (ACMC) in its quest to provide
vital trauma services and quality health care for all county
residents regardless of their ability to pay.
To accomplish the fundraising efforts required
to support these programs, ACHCF established an Annual Giving
Program, which raises approximately $250,000/year. ACHCF has
developed a donor base of 2500 individuals and institutions.
ACHCF has succeeded in raising approximately $35,000/year
from individual donors through a combination of direct mail,
memorial gifts, United Way contributions, and other miscellaneous
gifts. Approximately $65,000 is raised each year from foundation
grants.
How to Give
The Foundation provides a variety of ways
for you to give. By serving all kinds of donors — individuals,
families, corporations, private foundations, United Way, and
public entities (city, state and federal) — we can respond
to many charitable interests. Funds may be restricted to a
program, department/division, or a particular population.
A major advantage of the Foundation is its
designation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, which enables
individuals, corporations, and private foundations to receive
maximum tax benefits.
In-Kind Donations
The Foundation also welcomes in-kind donations.
