Happy New Year
from the Alameda County Health Care Foundation
As we enter the new year, we pause to reflect on what we accomplished in 2011and thank those who made these accomplishments possible: our generous donors.
In May, the combined cardiac catheterization lab and angiography suite, funded by our recent $2.6 million campaign, opened at our Highland campus.
In 2011, the Foundation also supported several essential programs including:
• Cancer Navigator Program,
• Youth Violence Prevention Program,
• Infant Safety Program, and
• Amputee Program.
Still, the recession persists; the number of uninsured and underinsured residents of Alameda County grows; and the need for accessible, quality medical care increases.
As we welcome the New Year, we look forward to continuing our work—in partnership with our donors and funders—to support the Medical Center’s mission of maintaining and improving the health of all residents of Alameda County, regardless of their ability to pay.
Wishing you peace and joy in 2012,

Executive Director
